SFFL Champs Take on World
In an unprecedented move after winning the SFFL Super Bowl, GM Mark Petrillo issued a "Cereal Kilurz vs. The World" challenge to his fellow SFFL owners.  Petrillo offered to put up his team against any combination of non-Cereal Kilurz All Stars that his fellow owners wanted to start in Week 17.  Petrillo agreed to wager as much as $5 of his winnings per matchup, but only four owners had the guts to accept the challenge: Bernie Martinelli, Mike Shapiro, Mark Saylor, and Matt Saylor.

Petrillo ended up going 2-2 on the day, breaking even as his Cereal Kilurz scored 70 points.  In typical Saylor fashion, brothers Mark and Matt both lost their games, managing to put only 54 and 57 points on the board respectively.  Including today's games, the Saylor brothers are a combined 1-13 against the Kilurz.  Shapiro's All Stars scored 88 points and Martinelli's players scored 91.

Asked what his motivation for this week's challenge was, Petrillo responded, "It wasn't about the money.  I thought we were a long shot to win, at best.  I figured this would be a fun way to extend the SFFL season one more week, and hopefully give everyone a chance to win some of their money back.  Who knows - maybe this will turn into an SFFL tradition."  Terrell Owens received this week's game ball even though he caught only two passes - 56 and 60 yard TDs, both in the first quarter.
