Badville Chaunceys Welcome Competition
There is a new team in the SFFL in 2001, and it brings along a renowned coach as well.  Matt Taylor, owner of T's Money, sold the franchise to Mike Shapiro, who has renamed the team the Badville Chaunceys. Shapiro has also excepted the responsibilities of coaching this new franchise in the Crocs division after successfully coaching in the Ultimate Fantasy Baseball League in 1999.

Many coaches in the league are concerned with this new addition.
"I have seen his skills before in other leagues and this coach knows how to field a winning team," stated Rebel Yell coach, Mark Saylor.  "It will make the Crocs Division very interesting this year with 4 good teams battling for their division spot."  Other coaches have made similar comments, but they declined to comment on the record.

The Badville Chaunceys will replace T's Money, who had shown improvement in the league during their two year stint in the SFFL.  The team dissolved when the team owner/coach, Matt Taylor had to sell the team to move on to more challenging adventures.  It is rumored he will be attending Med School in the fall to become a Doctor.

Mike Shapiro will have his work cut out for him.  The team that he inherited has only one good keeper for the 2001 in Donovan McNabb.  "I guess I will just hold McNabb and build a team around him", commented Shapiro.  "That would give me $95 dollars at the auction to get the players I need."
