Kong and Strawmakers Involved in Block-Buster Deal
In a move that sent ripples through the SFFL, not to mention shivers down a few spines, Kong announced today that they have bid a fond adieu to Randy Moss and Jerome Bettis and have welcomed aboard former Strawmakers Carl Pickens and Eddie George.

"It sure is nice having Eddie George, or as we like to call him, Eddie George, back on the team" said Kong founder, Mark Proper. Proper, who also serves as General Manager, Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coach, Head Cheerleader, and water-boy for Kong, seemed optimistic at this new opportunity. "Sure, Pickens has yet to prove himself this year, but he'll come around. He better, or so help me God..."

Asked to comment on the dismissal of Moss and Bettis, Proper had this to say: "While it saddens me to see Moss go, he just wasn't living up to his $30 salary. Maybe he'll come around, and if he does, I wish him the best of luck, but this team just cannot afford to keep a deadbeat around. Bettis, The Bus is another story. No matter how many times he showered, he just couldn't wash that Pittsburgh stench off of him. It got so just the sight of him sickened me. Good riddance to bad rubbish, that's what I always say."

Strawmakers coach Bernie Martinelli didn't seem as optimistic, threatening at times to walk out of the press conference. "Moss is a risk, sure. I even had to drop Richie Anderson to get him on my team. But no price is too high to pay for that boy. Did you see him last year, rumbling and stumbling and catching balls like crazy!" Asked about the chances of this trade coming back to haunt him, Martinelli shouted "Hey, I'm giving up George and Pickens, and if you don't like it, you can [expletive]. I don't have to stand here and take this [expletive] from you [expletives]. This interview is over!"

Asked his opinion on this trade, Mark Petrillo, head coach of The Cereal Kilurz, said in a shaky voice that he was boarding the next plane to Guatemala where he would "wait it out under a bamboo table in the steamy jungle."

This trade reunites one of the best players in the league with the team that made it all happen in 1999. Eddie George, back together with his old team, which included himself, Carter, Staley, and Griese, they just may be able to repeat last year's success, which propelled them to a franchise first-year Superbowl appearance. Strawmakers have everything to gain, hoping Moss and Bettis will help them three-peat and propel them to an unprecedented 3 consecutive Superbowl wins.
