Browns Franchise Sold to Steel Mogul
The owners of the Browns Franchise sold the team for an undisclosed amount to a group headed up by the Steel Industrial mogul, Don Strausbaugh.  The old ownership committee decided to sell the franchise after a disappointing rookie season, which they finished by losing Toilet Bowl II.

The new management team, headed by Don himself, has vowed that the team will get a complete overhaul, including Name, Logo, Players, and Coaching staff for 2000.  Their goal will be to turn the franchise around from their embarrassing 1999 season into a contender for a playoff spot in 2000.
