SuperBowl IV:
Strawmakers Repeat
In what is sure to be a Superbowl that will go down in history, Kong
suffered a massive defeat at
the hands of the Strawmakers this past
weekend. The final score: A ton to not-as-much.
Afterwards, Kong coach Mark Proper, visibly
shaken, had this to say: "First and foremost, I would like to extend
my sincerest congratulations to Bernie, with his pure, unadulterated, raw
coaching skill and all. Anyways, it was a great season for Kong.
It makes
me glad that a rookie coach in this league could make it as far as we did.
I'm sure a lot of coaches out there are glad that Kong went down in a
flaming fireball of defeat and devastation, but there are others out there
who don't want to look at two consecutive Strawmakers victories engraved
on that trophy for eternity."
Proper continued, "Obviously, I'm a bit
disappointed in how our team played. I mean, Jeff George scoring a -1?
I
mean, my God...what the hell was he thinking? Let Moss throw to Carter?
In
the name of all that is holy, that wasn't in my playbook!! And
Levens ... what the dilly-yo? And don't get me started on Moulds, so help me
God ... don't
get me started. About the only person who didn't disappoint me was Hoard.
He actually surprised me. In a game as big as this, your players need to
take their game to the next level, and ours obviously didn't.
Most coaches
in my position would lay awake nights, wondering if there was anything
they could have done differently, placing a lot of blame on themselves.
Not me though. I place all the blame solely on the shoulders of my
players. I hope they're freaking happy with themselves ...
punks. Jerks. Jackasses. I hope they're happy when they're unemployed next season, or
God Forbid, become a member of the Pandora's Box's franchise.
I hope
they're happy that I can't afford to put food on my family's dinner table,
not that I'd be able to afford the table, or have a family sitting at it
because my wife undoubtedly thinks I'm a big loser and is probably packing
her bags as we speak. Yeah, I hope they're happy."
When asked about the controversy surrounding
week 15's trade with the Cereal Kilurz, Coach Proper responded, "I've
already answered this before, but would like to add that it did not affect
the outcome of any games anyways. We still would have beaten the Gophs,
and still would have lost to the Strawmakers. About the only thing it
accomplished was Kong lost two of the best damn players on this franchise.
I only feel sorry for players involved, who will suffer the most next
season under Petrillo's coaching 'abilities' ... and I use that term
loosely. If only Carter wasn't such a wus. I mean, Favre's out there
playing with a broken hand every week, and he let's a little boo-boo like
some strained tendons knock him out in the playoffs. Oh well, it's his
loss. To Carter, I say, 'have fun not making it to the playoffs next year,
punk'. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go kick my crappy-ass players in
the ribs some more until they beg for mercy. Merry Christmas my
ass..."
