The PotatoHeads community
started in 2003 when a co-worker, Sandra, swore in frustration, "Oh Potatoes!" A few
days later, Sandra was given a Mr. Potato Head from a co-worker as a joke. Sandra named
the potato head Spuds and displayed him on top of her cube. Normal stories would stop here,
but in this case, the story was just beginning.
Later that week, someone on the project team stole Spuds. Every few days, a few body
parts slowly return. Even a ransom note for 12 Milky Way bars was received. Over the next
weeks, more and more pieces magically show up on the Sandra's desk, but something was not
quite right. Some of the pieces are now female body pieces. Could this be the work of a
serial potato killer?
Finally, one day Spuds re-appears out of the blue with a surprise for Sandra. Spuds brings
home a girlfriend, Twice Baked, for Sandra to meet. Everything was finally great once
again in PotatoHeadLand.
Until... Spuds runs away to Las Vegas to get hitched to Twice Baked. Since the wedding,
Mr. and Mrs. PotatoHead have not slowed down, as they travel from one breathtaking locale
to another. Here at Saylorland, we will try our best to document the lives of this
wonderful new family as the experience traveling around the world.
