American Civil War (1861 - 1865)
Welcome to The American Civil War pages of Saylorland.com. The American Civil War
(1861-1865) has been a hobby of mine since I can remember. After attending the
Gettysburg Civil War Institute in Junior High, my obsession with the war increased so
drastically that you will often find me late at night with my eyes buried in a book or
magazine. I also try to visit at least a few battlefields each year.
As I continue to study the American Civil War, I gain more respect for the men who fought
in the cruel and bloody battles. The soldiers, along with the officers who led them,
have found a special part in my heart.
